Orientation

Before classes start

Register

  • Sign and return your acceptance offer
  • Check your fee statement in ROSI and pay by September 7th. Contact Jeremy Kwan if you will be receiving OSAP and need an extension.

Make sure you meet the health requirements

Visit your doctor and have him/her:

  • complete the Health Record Form
  • test your blood for Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella
  • complete a two-step TB skin test
  • immunize you against Tetanus/Diphtheria and Polio if you have not received this booster every 10 years

If blood tests demonstrate that you are not immune to the above, immunization will be required before the first day of class.

Complete a vulnerable persons check

  • Visit your local police headquarters to request this report.
  • When you receive your report, send the original to Glenalyn Lo, Health Nurse, Rm. 1342.
  • View a list of police headquarters across Ontario.

Obtain First Aid/CPR for Health Care Providers Certification

Confirm your contact information

  • Be sure to check your personal data in ROSI for accuracy and update any information necessary.

Get your student ID cards

U of T

  • students with an existing T-card are not required to obtain a new card.
  • T-cards can be obtained at the U of T Card office on the 2nd floor of the Robarts Library at 130 St. George St.
  • You will need to obtain your T-card by September 10

Michener

  • Your ID card can be obtained from the Student Success Network desk in the Michener lobby between 1:30 and 3:30 pm Monday to Thursday.
  • If you are not able to come by in person, email a jpg self-photo to Ray Nielsen, and your card will be ready for pick up during orientation week.
  • Your card must be obtained by September 10.
