New Physics Residency Program Director

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Andrea McNiven will be assuming the role of the UT-DRO Director of Physics Education as of February 1, 2016.

Dr. McNiven has been a member of the UT-DRO faculty since 2011 and a staff Medical Physicist at the Princess Margaret since 2009. She has been actively involved in the education portfolio of the Medical Physics Residents and the Radiation Oncology Residents. Dr. McNiven also currently serves as the Site Coordinator for the Medical Physics Residency Program at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. 

Dr. McNiven is a graduate of the UT-DRO Medical Physics residency program and received her PhD at the University of Western Ontario. She has continued to develop her educational leadership most recently through the Education Scholars Program with the Centre for Faculty Development at the University of Toronto.

We are grateful to Dr. Jean-Pierre Bissonnette for his dedicated leadership. Under Dr. Bissonnette’s Directorship, our Medical Physics Residency Program has continued to train excellent and competitive candidates for Ontario and across Canada. Thank you, Dr. Bissonnette for your tremendous contributions to Medical Physics Education at UT-DRO.
